Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice
Pumpkin pie spice is a mixture of spices widely used in North American cooking to make recipes such as pumpkin pie.
I wanted to make some typical recipes like pumpkin pie and I thought maybe I could make this spice mix at home. Searching Wikipedia I found the proportions that pumpkin pie spice has to have (18 parts ground cinnamon, 4 parts ground nutmeg and ginger, and 3 parts allspice and ground cloves).
As these measures are not very comfortable to use, I have adapted them to tablespoons and teaspoons and I have released my mixture to prepare some delicious pumpkin cookies.
What can you use pumpkin pie spice for? Right now we don’t have any published recipe, but the next publication will be the pumpkin donuts that I told you about above and we also want to prepare pumpkin pie and other autumnal recipes such as a pumpkin latte. You can also use it to add it to coffee, tea, infusions, pasta, in any dish that has pumpkin, to roast vegetables, in pasta dishes, etc.
If you want to try your homemade pumpkin spice, you can add it to any of these recipes: pumpkin and chocolate pancakes, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin milkshake, vegan pumpkin custard, and pumpkin Alfredo pasta.
